ICT/E-RESOURCE SECTION

ICT/E-Resources Section of the library is responsible for guiding users on effective use, evaluation, dissemination, user education and access of E-resources. The Library provides online access to quality scholarly information through the following databases

ICT SERVICES

Internet: A global network (network of networks) linking computers to other computers.

PURPOSE: To allow the library users to access online resources and  enable them carryout research to meet their academic goals.

THE DOs OF THE COMPUTER LAB;

ICT SERVICES IN THE LIBRARY ARE STRICTLY FOR:

  • Internet Access and Searches related to academics.
  • E-mail services
  • CD ROM searches
  • Ask for help from staff

AND THE DON’Ts

  • Unauthorized downloads and program(s) installation
  • Sending SMS messages
  • Drinking & Eating
  • Using a PC beyond 30 minutes
  • Visiting pornographic sites
  • Saving research work on the PC.
  • Discussions While in the Section.
  • Using a PC before registration
  • Any attempts to repair PCs

ACCESS SERVICES IS FOR: Registered Library Users.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS TO THE COMPUTER LAB

  • FOR FIRST YEARS: Copy of Admission letter or registration certificate.
  • CONTINUING STUDENTS: you have to present your student ID

 

Opening hours

  • Monday to Sunday: During semester

8:30am to 4.45pm

  • Lunch Break:

1.00pm – 2.00pm

During Vacation

  • Monday to Friday:

8:30am – 4.45pm

  • Lunch Break:
  • PM – 2.00pm

 

 

Note: The section remains closed during all Christian and Muslim public holidays.
